I highly recommend everyone to go to Royal Maharaja in Morrisville, NC. I have been there several times and found that everything from the service to the food is amazing. They even have outdoor seating with umbrellas and lights. The decor is nice . Veg and non veg are both really good. The double Ka meetha desert I would highly recommend. Quantity and quality is what they are about. Please go checkout this restaurant if you are in the area. Even if You aren’t I promise you it’s worth the drive. It’s the best in the area hands down! — We can’t wait to go back and try there Thali!

Food at Royal Maharaja is Royal. We had ordered- Bamboo Biryani, Malai kofta, Dal Makhani, Garlic Naan, Papdi Chaat, Mango Lassi and Daulat ki Chat(sweet Dish). Bamboo Biryani is a unique dish and we haven’t seen it in RTP area before. Same goes for Daulat ki chat (sweet) which was served in a Clay Bowl. Malai kofta curry rich and creamy. Koftas were soft and tasty. Garlic Naan was crispy and were tasty. Serving size was pretty good as well. Will definitely go again and would like to try new items on the menu.

I love to explore different food types, this newly opened Indian restaurant surely give a tougher competition to rest of Restaurant’s in this triangle area. Price and food quality is perfect, most importantly the usage of oil and spices to the lowest with No comprised to taste. No more stomach upset, enjoy my food. Staff courteous and helpful.

Tried many Indian restaurants around the Rdu area, This place stood out special to me, here is why - Authentic Raagi Mudde ( Kannada), Raagi sangati (Telugu) you can also refer it as Finger Millet. Tried it at Maharaj with the combination of Mutton curry. I noticed sun-dried chillies were garnished with ragi Mudde which added more kick too. Loved the taste, texture and the quality of the food and most importantly it reminds my mom home cooking. I couldn't stop to appreciate the food, requested the waitress to call chef, and met the passionate chef from Goa Mr. Prashant for brining in this mouth watering food to the area. I haven't tried their fresh made juices will try next specials bamboo biriani and more.

Staff made it super easy for the group of us that came in. We were able to ask about the different foods and get a good explanation on what was what. They even suggested that we try certain dishes! The Mango Lassi was my favorite ! Overall service was 5/5!

My husband chanced upon this restaurant while looking through Uber eats options. The menu looked exciting especially the Bamboo biryani so we decided to dine in instead. Heads up that this is located where Paradise was and they still have to update it with a permanent sign. Let me just start by saying that the RTP area has a lot of Indian restaurants but I miss a good balance between taste, flavors, and healthy food. This restaurant really surprised us and exceeded our expectations. We ordered hara bhara kebab, kadhai paneer, tandoori roti, paneer bamboo biryani, and chikoo kulfi. We loved everything. The hara kebab is perfect if you like a low on oil, melt in the mouth appetizer with flavors on point. My usually pet peeve about curries in Indian restaurants is the cream they add to curries. The kadhai paneer was tasty with well balanced spices and no cream. Tandoori roti was soft and fresh. Rumali roti is the best I have had in US; compliments to the chef for this! Highlight was the bamboo biryani that was served in a hot bamboo. Each bite of biryani was moist and the spices came through without being overpowering. I loved that the dished were not greasy. If you miss the authentic chikoo kulfi from India you need to try this place now because I am definitely going back for more of this dessert. We also did a take out for non vegeterian dishes including chicken angara, special maharaja chicken curry, vijayawada chicken boneless biryani. Chicken was fresh and juicy something that is a miss in. lot of Indian restaurants. The smoked flavor in the appetizer was amazing. Biryani was again one of the best I have best I have tasted in this area. The ambience is same as old Paradise restaurant and could use an upgrade in the long run. This place could easily be an upscale restaurant with all the good food. I really hope more people try it as we felt that not many people know about it; we definitely didn't know about it until last week and it opened in December. P.S. The staff is very polite. And this is not a paid review!

Super delicious food and great service! We ordered the Vijayawada boneless chicken biryani which is served with salan and raita. Chicken pieces are good quantity in proportion to the rice. Portion size is great too, can suffice for two people. Buttermilk is refreshing, with lots of mint and coriander. They are flexible in terms of timings on the weekend, are open till late. Looking forward to going back soon!
